Volunteer Placements

Schoolhouse has placements in a variety of settings - schools, street projects, nurseries, temples, colleges and communities. Placements offer opportunities to teach, play, care and perform and so are suitable for people from a variety of backgrounds.

Placements last for a minimum of one month and can last for up to a year (longer than a year is also possible). Volunteers who are spending longer periods of time may choose to spend time in more than one placement location.

Placements can be started at any time throughout the year. Whatever your commitments and timetable, Schoolhouse can arrange a start date to suit you.

Accommodation is either in carefully selected host families or in a house shared with other volunteers. It's also possible to rent a house or flat (for a supplement) and in some placements, accommodation is provided on location.
