teaching with a wonderful tropical holiday. You can teach primary level or English, music, art, drama, or sports in primary and secondary schools. You'll be immersed in the local culture and learn at first hand about life and education in a developing country. You'll network and socialize with teachers from local schools and meet education office personnel. And of course, you'll do some teaching. Your students will be respectful, highly motivated and will greatly appreciate the input of your teaching using your native English skills. Prior to departure, you'll receive a preparation pack. There will be a very pleasant two-day settling-in and induction period on arrival in Sri Lanka. The teaching placements are clustered around the beautiful town of Galle on the palm fringed coast with its world heritage Fort, packed full of museums, quaint winding streets and architecture recalling the colonial past. Galle has excellent hotels and restaurants, interesting shops and a thriving cultural scene. You'll spend
afternoons on golden sands by warm, turquoise seas and you'll
enjoy relaxing evenings under starry tropical skies, sampling
excellent local cuisine with friends and fellow teachers. You
can make excursions into cloud forests, nature reserves, tea plantations
and ancient Buddhist sites. If you'd like to take your family with you (and there will be plenty to keep them occupied whilst you're out teaching), this can be easily arranged. Please see
the fees section of this site for costs and contact us to discuss
your requirements. Prices vary according to your choices. Please contact us to discuss your tropical teaching holiday programme. Location: near Galle, south-west coast. |
